Lilac, Common
Snowy, fragrant, light purple, pink or even white flowers bloom in mid-spring, in large clusters, 4-8 in. long.  Without enough winter chilling, lilacs don’t bloom properly.  The lilacs bloom on the previous year wood.  Pruning should be done right after the blooming is finished.  They transplant easily.

Lilac, Miss Kim
The Miss Kim Lilac is compact and upright-rounded in form.  It has an abundance of fragrant blossoms in spring that are dark lavender-pink in bud and fade to a very soft lavender-pink when fully opened. The blossoms are even more plentiful when it is planted in full sun.  Miss Kim has the best fall color of any Lilac, a reddish purple.

Lilac, Persian
The pale lilac flowers are fragrant, late spring blooming, abundantly produced on 2 to 3 inch long panicles. A reasonably compact lilac for the smaller garden, and shrub border.

Mock Orange, Natchez

Fast growing deciduous shrub noted for it’s fragrant large flowers with single petals and fresh  green  foliage.  Blooms in the Spring and early Summer.  Used as informal borders and screens.

Mock Orange, Virginalis

Very pleasant fragrant and attractive white flower has double petals with eye pleasing green foliage flowers late spring and early summer.  This deciduous shrub is useful as a screen or an informal hedge.

Potentilla, Gold Star
A low growing species that produces larger deeper green leaves than other types and in mid to late summer bright yellow flowers to 1.5" The cinquefoils family should form an essential part of every garden due to their long flowering period. The rounded flowers are particularly attractive to both flies and bees

Potentilla, Pink Beauty
Small, compact deciduous shrub with clear pink flowers that blooms mid summer and on.  Bright green foliage is bushy and makes for an excellent border plant.  Cut back in Spring to promote bushy full growth.

Privet, Golden Vicary
A slightly different variety of the common privet hedge, the golden vicary stays very compact.  As the name suggests, its foliage has a golden hue. The plant's flowers are mildly fragrant and it produces fruit late in the season. Bear in mind though that the privet is a deciduous plant, so it will lose its leaves come winter.

Privet, New Mexico
A deciduous, native shrub that develops great character with age. It can be grown into a dense hedge or pruned to form a multi-stemmed small tree. The beautiful whitish bark accentuates the bright yellow foliage. Female plants produce considerable quantities of blue-black berries. A moderate-to-fast grower in any soil.

Pyracantha, Kasan
The 'Kasan' is a hardy variety that flowers in March and April. Its flowers are single, white, and borne in clusters. It exhibits a broad, spreading growth habit to 10' tall. It produces large crops of orange-red berries during the fall season. Bright orange berries are the highlight of this plant.

Rabbit Bush
Chamisa is the Spanish name and the plant is sometimes referred to incorrectly as Rabbitbrush. Billowing clouds of deep yellow flowers cover the bush, providing a dramatic backdrop or centerpiece to any xeric garden. This true native is a real survivalist.

Rose, Blaze
This famous climber bears bright red, lightly scented blossoms in profusion. Flowers throughout the season on new and old wood.  The Blaze rose is a low maintenance rose. Blaze roses provide continuous bloom through fall.  The Blaze climbing rose repeats its bloom again later in the season.

Rosemary, Tuscan Blue
Quickly forms an upright rigid branched hedge of aromatic needle-like foliage, leaves broader than other varieties. Profuse clear blue flowers add to the beauty. Takes to pruning well, perfect for screens. Evergreen.

Sage Cherry
It is valued for its adaptability to garden soils.  This sage blooms from early spring until fall.  It has a profusion of dark red blooms and bright green foliage.

Sage, Russian
This rapid growing native of Afghanistan blooms from late summer through rest of the growing season. The white stems and aromatic silver-gray foliage are crowned with smoky blue flower spikes. Drought tolerance is HIGH. Thrives in all soil conditions. Prune back flower spikes in winter or early spring. “Perennial Plant of the Year” winner.

Spiraea, Anthony Waterer
Spireas are summer bloomers with a low shrubby growth habit. The foliage is deciduous with a wine-red to maroon tinged new growth in the fall.  The blooms are grown in flat clusters that are rose pink from late spring into the summer.  The Anthony Waterer is use as a great border for shrubs.

Spiraea, Bridal Wreath
Arching branches bear tiny clusters of white flowers in spring. Leaves appear after flowers fade, and have autumn color. Believe it or not, this is a member of the rose family (Rosaceae). Try deadheading for repeat bloom. Prune (after flowering) limbs that bloomed to the ground.

Spiraea, Neon Flash
Bright pink flowers appear over a long period and are offset by a neat mound of rich green foliage that becomes dark burgundy in fall. Creates a colorful low hedge or mass planting.  Deciduous.

Spiraea, Vanhoutte
This is an outstanding shrub that has very showy white flowers in the spring.  In the fall the foliage turns purple.  This shrub grows rapidly and may be used as a screen.

Vibumum Snowball Bush
A glossy, dark green shrub commonly used for foundation planting, hedging, or massing.  The Dense Yew will tolerate sun or shade, and pollution, but not excessive moisture. Standing water over the root system has been know to kill existing plants. New planting in damp areas should be avoided, or plants should be elevated as much as possible.
